Refrigerant Handling (EPA 608)

It’s the law! To work on stationary air conditioners and refrigeration systems, you must be certified under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act.

ACCA makes it simple. As creators of the original and most popular EPA certification training programs and tests, ACCA has certified over 300,000 people.

608 Made Simple

Contractors, ensure your new hires and incoming technicians are certified properly to handle refrigerant — not just in the required way, but in the right way. ACCA makes it easy.

Please call 703-575-4477 to order or if you have any questions.

Do you need a replacement wallet card?

To seek a replacement 608 wallet identification card, if you were certified May 2001 or later, please email 608test@acca.org with your Full Name and Address so we can verify your certification. We can only issue a replacement card if you took the exam through ACCA or Pennsylvania College of Technology. There is a $25.00 service fee charged to replace a lost card.

If you were certified before May 2001, call 866-880-7674.

EPA 608 Technicians

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) now requires programs certifying technicians, excluding Federally-run programs, to publish a list of the technicians they have certified online.  To ensure compliance, ACCA has posted the following list of technicians certified with us through June 30, 2019. This list will be updated again in January, 2020.
