ACCA Continues Its Commitment to HVAC Advocacy - Promotion of Chris Czarnecki

Alexandria, VA (March 4, 2021) – The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announces the promotion of Chris Czarnecki to ACCA’s Manager of Government Relations.

“Chris has a proven track record within the association community as being a valued advocate and liaison for ACCA, maintaining working relationships with legislative offices and administrative agencies,” said Barton James, ACCA president and CEO.

Czarnecki has been integral in advancing the interests of ACCA’s three thousand member companies at the federal, state, and local levels, working closely with ACCA’s Allied Contracting Organizations. Additionally, Czarnecki played a direct role in obtaining essential worker designation for heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) contractors at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and fought for several wins in the 2020 year-end spending and relief bill, including permanence of the Section 179D commercial energy efficiency deduction.

In his new role, Czarnecki will assist with the oversight of the ACCA-PAC, the most robust in the HVACR industry, and continue to grow and enhance ACCA’s influence in Congress and on Capitol Hill by educating legislative offices and administrative agencies about the priorities that matter most to ACCA members. This includes support of workforce training and education, support of the Home Energy Savings Act and the New Home Energy Efficiency Act, prioritizing HVAC professionals for COVID-19 vaccine distribution, PPP loan forgiveness for small businesses, among many other initiatives.
