Paul Adams is currently the founder & CEO of Columbia Home Services a Tenex Capital Management portfolio company based in Dallas, Texas. CHS is a residential and light commercial services platform for HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical.
Paul is also the Founder of SynCold, who are intermediaries who provide M&A advisory services on mergers and acquisitions in the contracting space (i.e., HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Roofing & Pest Control). Most of their advisory service is concerned with advice to buy-side and sell-side companies regarding mergers or acquisitions, but as M&A advisors they also conduct market research and help companies to raise capital for M&A, and they also have a unique and efficient way of targeting acquisition prospects for their clients.
Paul was most recently the Chief Growth Officer & Founder of Royal House Partners, LLC where he oversaw all areas of the company’s M&A and growth initiatives. Prior to that he was the CEO of Trudela Partners who specializes in HVAC repairs, maintenance, and replacement for both residential and commercial customers within Dallas-Ft Worth. Over a period of 12-months Paul and the Royal House Partners team successfully completed 15 acquisitions in Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma & Arkansas within the HVAC, plumbing and electrical space to stand up the platform to a 50m+ organization with 275+ employees. Paul was most recently recognized with a Dallas Dealmakers Award in 2025 as well as Outstanding Leader in the Construction Industry by Realty 2.0 in April 2022 and Awarded ACHR’s (Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration) News 2022 Best Contractors to Work For List.
Throughout his career, Paul has developed the capacity to formulate unique business solutions for large key-to-the mission initiatives and the tenacity to attract, recruit, manage, and retain the teams that execute them in highly complex and competitive business climates. He is adept at strategically identifying, devising, and implementing customized solutions to support global business strategies and needs. He leveraged those skills in his former roles at RHP and Trudela by creating an innovative business model unlike other home service repair services. Paul successfully completed four acquisitions for Trudela in Q1 of 2020 while simultaneously implementing world-class systems (i.e., Sage Intaact, Service Titan, Bill.com). In 2020 Paul was D CEO Mergers & Acquisitions Award Finalist. He has completed over 100+ acquisitions within the last decade.
Leadership is a quality that comes naturally to Paul, which is best evidenced by his diplomacy, flexibility, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Paul is an accomplished and versatile leader who instills customer confidence and promotes internal and external business relationships that have proven to fortify, drive, and sustain sales.
Paul’s professional experience is diverse and global in scope. In the early 2000’s, he coordinated a European acquisition integration/risk mitigation for a very large multinational corporation. Further, he has well over a decade of experience in removing cross-cultural barriers, which includes his work in over 16 countries, including travel to over 22 countries. He also resided in the United Kingdom, Belgium & South Africa for nearly five years.
Paul served as an executive/owner for Service Experts LLC., a residential & commercial HVAC replacement and maintenance company, which had over 100 service centers across North America, 2,800 plus employees and $435m+ in annual revenue. As an equity partner, Paul led the company’s day-to-day restructuring efforts to transform the organization into a profitable (+26m EBITDA) portfolio company within 36 months. In 2016 Paul helped facilitate the sale of Service Experts to Enercare a large utility out of Toronto Canada.
Paul also served as the Vice President of Operations & Business Development for Dal-Tile, the largest ceramic tile manufacturer in North America, where he was instrumental in developing an operational culture that exceeded planned revenue, operating income, and cash objectives.
His tenure at Dal-Tile also included direction of sales operations for a $1.3B P&L that included new product launches, pricing tools, and the establishment of the company's B2B platform, the last of which included the implementation of the company's CRM system. He also led and authored Dal-Tile's Manufactured Stone business strategy and all associated planning that included a new product roadmap, sales plan, competitor analysis, and marketing plan ‒ all of which were instrumental in the sales channel’s efforts to exceed plan performance in 2012.
At the start of his tenure with Dal-Tile, Paul served as Vice President of Human Resources, which included supervision of and accountability for 10,000 employees in North America. He personally managed the human resource’s function and within two years achieved the Dallas Morning News' “Top 100 Places to Work” list in 2009 and 2010 for the company.
Earlier in his career, Paul developed his operations and human resources skills with ADT Security Services, SimplexGrinnell, and UPS, where he held various management-level roles and quickly rose to director and vice president positions.
Paul served on the board of directors for Royal House Partners, Trudela, LLC, and currently serves on the board of Bubbl Investments, LLC., Alpha Financial Solutions and ESPA Holdings, LLC. He is also a member of the National ACCA Membership Committee and Leadership Council for the NSBA.
Paul also received the 2019 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award for the Southwest Region for his innovation and leadership at Bubbl Investments, LLC.
Paul earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore and an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix.
