Retrofits don’t have to mean guesswork. This two-day training walks you through a structured retrofit process using ACCA’s trusted design series. You’ll learn how to properly size, select, verify, and commission HVAC systems in existing homes—improving comfort, performance, and peace of mind.

From performing load calculations to verifying duct system performance using Manual D®’s friction rate worksheet, this course is packed with actionable guidance that helps you do the job right the first time—and prove it.

Each course is taught by Ed Janowiak, ACCA’s manager of HVAC design education. With a focus on real-world application, these courses help enhance your technical skills, improve system efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Janowiak comes to ACCA with over 35 years of HVACR experience, and more than 20 years, delivering technical topics from his time as the technical director at Eastern Heating and Cooling Council in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Janowiak has over 15 years of practical experience in the field as a service manager, technician, and installer—working at various companies, and as the owner and president of Bramante Energy, Inc.
