Top Issues: Infrastructure
BACKGROUND: In the 117th Congress, there will be opportunities for Congress to pass long-term transportation and infrastructure packages, which fund building projects for roads, bridges, airports, and public buildings. With modern roadways there will be less wear and tear on fleet vehicles, saving on maintenance costs. More funding for roads will also reduce congestion that increases travel time. More funding for public buildings and airports creates a larger market for contractors as building owners/managers update their systems to higher energy efficiency.
SOLUTION: ACCA supports a multi-year fully funded infrastructure package that includes funding for road and bridges and other national infrastructure packages.
