Lanny Huffman is the President of Hickory Sheet Metal Co., Inc., located in Hickory, NC. The company was started by Lanny’s grandfather, Lee J.M. Huffman, in 1928. After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at N.C. State University, Lanny decided to return to his hometown of Hickory and
work in the family business. Since 1978, Lanny has worked to keep his grandfather’s vision alive. Today, Hickory Sheet Metal has grown to 40 employees, and Lanny invests his time and energy to see that each one of them succeeds. Lanny views his most important job as managing employee procurement.
Lanny is a native of Hickory, NC and has been married to Joan W. Huffman for over 35 years. They have two daughters and a grandson.
