Hello, I’m Sean Tolbert, Quality Assured Program Support Specialist for the Air Conditioning Contractors of America. I joined ACCA in October 2017. However, I first started working at ACCA as a contractor in Arlington, Virginia in July 2017. Since then, I have been responsible for helping HVAC contractors get into the Quality Assured (QA) Program and maintaining their information in our system. This involves contacting and taking inquiries from contractors to tell them more about the QA Program, as well as reminding them to annually renew their accreditation. Since I have joined the association, the QA Program has grown with more contractors becoming accredited to install HVAC systems in Energy Star Certified New Homes and Existing Homes. I am also the EPA 608 Testing program specialist. I handle questions regarding our 608 testing program, and exam processing.
Before working with ACCA, I gained information management experience as a Data Analyst contractor at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in Rockville, Maryland. Also, while I worked at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia, I helped to build a successful database for their system they were set to launch to better serve their doctors and nurses.
I am a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Information Systems & Technology. I have experience with data analysis, website development, software programming, and applications. This experience will be utilized for improving the QA Program to better serve contractors. I am proud to be serving among some of the nation’s top contractors who are constantly working to implement new technology in their companies. There is a lot of room for the industry to grow as new technology becomes available and it is exciting to be a part of the national association working to raise the bar for the industry.
