Melissa Broadus joined the Air Conditioning Contractors of America as director of communications in 2010. Some of her main duties include managing the association’s magazine, IE3, developing and sending the various associations eNewsletters, managing the associations website content, and managing the Contractors of the Year Awards program.
Broadus began her association career in 2002, when she started working for the National RV Dealers Association (RVDA) as an administrative assistant. She quickly moved up the ranks at RVDA, holding the positions of education program manager, and then as editor, where she managed both the association’s publications and website until she joined ACCA.
Growing up in a military family, Broadus had the opportunity to live and travel to many different countries until her family settled in Northern Virginia. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia, before returning to Northern Virginia where she currently resides with her husband and three children.
