The HVACR industry provides highly motivated, hard working Americans a chance for a rewarding career. This is especially true for students not choosing to attend a traditional four year college. The technical skills necessary for proficiency in the HVACR industry mean more and more states are requiring career training through apprenticeships as a prerequisite for licensing.
Unfortunately, some states only recognize a limited number of apprenticeship or training programs. ACCA believes all American workers, regardless of labor affiliation, should enjoy equal access to critical job training in the HVACR field. Many of ACCA’s chapters offer formal apprenticeship programs that are registered with the appropriate federal and state government agencies and meet all federal and state requirements, including employer-sponsored classroom instruction and on-the-job training.
