Paul Stalknecht is president and chief executive officer of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), the nation’s leading organization of environmental and energy systems contracting businesses. He had led the 50+ year-old association through a series of unprecedented changes since assuming its top executive role in 2001.

Prior to joining ACCA, Stalknecht spent thirteen years with the American Trucking Associations (ATA), eventually serving that organization as Senior Vice President for Federation Relations. He began his career with the New Jersey Motor Truck Association, eventually serving that organization as Executive Director for five years before joining ATA.

Stalknecht serves on the Board of Directors of: North American Technician Excellence (NATE); and the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC) where he is a Past National Chairmen of the organization.

Stalknecht is a member of the prestigious U.S.Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 which represents a cross-section of the nation's leading CEO's of trade associations. He was recognized as one of the top trade association executives in Washington, DC by CEO Update magazine and named one of the most influential people in the HVACR industry by The News magazine.

A New Jersey native, Stalknecht is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He lives in Mount Vernon, Virginia, with his wife, Julie. They have five adult children.
