Workplace Conduct and HR Compliance Training

Most HR problems don’t start out as legal problems. They start with a supervisor who lets a comment slide, or a timesheet that gets rounded up. This four-hour online course covers what your managers and employees need to know about workplace conduct, harassment, timekeeping, and overtime.

Compliance breaks down at the supervisor level

Roughly a quarter of American workers say they’ve been bullied at work. Contractors rarely have a compliance officer on staff. The person deciding whether to document a warning or approve four hours of overtime is usually a field supervisor or an office manager.

This training is built for both sides of that. Employees learn what conduct crosses the line and how to report it. Managers get their own modules on handling complaints, documenting discipline, and overseeing overtime.

Workplace Conduct & HR Compliance Training FAQ

How long does the training take?

Four hours of online content, self-paced within 180 days. Modules run five to nine minutes, so it can be done in pieces.

Is this course only for managers?

No. Bullying, workplace violence, and timekeeping each have an employee version and a supervisor version.

Does this satisfy my state’s harassment training requirement?

State mandates set their own rules on length, audience, and content. California, for example, requires two hours for supervisors and one hour for employees every two years. Check your state’s requirement with your HR or legal counsel before using this course to meet a mandate.

Is this legal advice?

No. The course explains what to watch for and when to escalate. For specific situations, talk to your HR department or legal counsel.

Is this training specific to HVACR?

The compliance content applies across industries. But these are the situations contractors run into — overtime on long install days, field-crew timesheets, terminations, and conduct complaints between techs.

Do we still need our own policies?

Yes. This course covers the rules and the reasoning. It doesn’t replace your employee handbook or your reporting procedures.
