With a focus on ACCA’s Manual N5AE this training helps contractors develop an understanding of how to calculate the various components of a commercial facility’s heating and cooling load using computer based software. While emphasis is placed on identifying and calculating peak load conditions, discussion is also directed at understanding the structure’s needs under part-load conditions. Much of the information covered is based on the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals. This three day experience will give you all of the tools necessary to Design for Quality Installation. On Day 1 you will learn how to size and choose the proper equipment for your particular application and geographic region of the country. On Day 2 you will learn how to design a ducted distribution system to extract the proper amount of air out of the equipment and delivered it to the areas to be heated and/or cooled. Day 3 offers instruction on an ANSI Standard (ACCA Standard 5) by which all quality HVAC installations can be compared. In addition, a peek at some really helpful software that can dramatically minimize the time required to perform all of the required calculations and system design without sacrificing quality or accuracy. Day One - Manual N5AE – Commercial Load Calculations Day Two – Manual Q – Low Pressure, Low Velocity Commercial Duct System Design Day Three – ACCA Standard 5 and Wrightsoft Introduction
