ACCA Contractor Training Series: Residential Design for Quality Installation

If your company needs simplified, practical procedures for calculating both heat loss and heat gain for residential structures using unitary air conditioning equipment, this Manual J 8th Edition training is for you.

With a focus on ACCA’s Manual J 8th Abridged Edition this training helps contractors develop an understanding of how to calculate the various components of a residential heating and cooling load both manually and by using computer assisted software.

This three day experience will give you all of the tools necessary to Design for Quality Installation.  On Day 1 you will learn how to size and choose the proper equipment for your particular application and geographic region of the country.  On Day 2 you will learn how to design a ducted distribution system to extract the proper amount of air out of the equipment and deliver it to the areas to be heated and/or cooled.  Day 3 offers instruction on an ANSI Standard (ACCA Standard 5) by which all quality HVAC installations can be compared.  In addition, a peek at some really helpful software that can dramatically minimize the time required to perform all of the required calculations and system design without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
