The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), the nationwide association of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) contracting businesses, announced the winners of its 2007 awards at its annual meeting in Orlando earlier this month.

Created in 2002, the Spirit of Federation Award recognizes a man or woman who has offered dedicated service to furthering the association’s mission at all levels – national, state, and local. ACCA CEO Paul Stalknecht presented the 2007 Spirit of Federation award to Todd McAllister, executive director of ACCA Texas, which is ACCA’s largest state chapter.

“He has been one of ACCA’s most innovative leaders taking on challenges and creating new opportunities, and consistently performing high service for his members,” Stalknecht continued, “He knows the real value of ACCA at all levels, and is a true partner and supporter of the ACCA national staff. We rely on him for honest feedback and active participation. He has made ACCA stronger, not just in his chapter, but nationwide.”

McAllister was unable to attend to accept his award as he is a member of the Naval Reserve and has been dispatched to an undisclosed location in the Middle East. “We wish him a safe and speedy return and can’t wait to see him again at a future conference,” Stalknecht said.
