Registration Now Open For ACCA's Service Managers Forum

July 28, 2015

ACCA, the Indoor Environment & Energy Efficiency Association, announced that registration is now open for the 8th Annual Service Managers Forum, which is taking place October 22 – 23, 2015 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis Downtown in Indianapolis, IN. This event is presented by ACCA and the ACHR NEWS.

The Service Managers Forum is one of ACCA's most popular managers' meetings, and is returning for the eighth year with a new line-up of learning labs to help veteran and new service managers reach new levels of success. ACCA worked with service managers from top contracting companies around the country to create a lineup featuring learning labs that cover topics that service managers in any field service need to know about to be successful.

Kicking off the Service Managers Forum is Dean Savoca, a unique keynote speaker who has spent the past 20-plus years working with executives and employees of companies, ranging from small businesses to professional organizations and Fortune 500 companies. During this opening session, "Moving Your Team to Winning Results," Savoca will talk about transforming from a manager to a leader and discuss the key skills needed to be an effective leader.

The program also includes 12 learning labs running concurrently over two days and features topics for both residential and commercial service managers. Some of the learning labs attendees can choose from are:

·         Building a High Performance, Winning Team, Rusty Cochran, We Care Heating & Cooling

·         Ending Office & Field Employee Conflicts, Sal Vigilante, Vigilante Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning

·         Residential Service Department Productivity, Vince DiFilippo, DiFilippo’s Service Company, Inc.

·         Call-backs: Reducing and Controlling the Profit Eating Beast, Eric Knaak, Isaac Heating & Cooling

·         Maintenance Agreements - the Good, Bad and Ugly!, Matt Marsiglio, Flame Furnace

The event closes with our popular “What's Your Problem” session with Bobby Ring, of Meyer & Depew Co., Inc. Got a question about how to do something better in your business? Looking for an idea? Stumped by a challenge? This fast-paced panel session features contractors from all market segments and sizes that will take your questions live and tell you exactly what’s worked (and hasn’t worked) in their businesses.

"The Service Managers Forum continues to be one of our most popular educational events each year and we are excited to be going to Indianapolis, for our eighth year," said Kevin Holland, ACCA's senior vice president – business operations & membership. "We've packed the schedule with an exciting line up of learning labs that focuses on management principles that all service managers need to be successful. We've brought back some of our most popular speakers and have sought out some new speakers who have experience in not just HVAC, but also plumbing and electrical. This event is about learning, growing, and helping attendees move to the next level of success. By expanding the fields of experience our speakers have, we are pulling in new perspectives that will offer fresh ideas for attendees to take back and improve their operations."

To round out the event, attendees can spend time talking to some of the top manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers in the industry in the Sponsor Showcase. Sponsors include: AC Leak Freeze; Callahan Roach; Comfort Zone, Danfoss; Data-Basics; Davisware; Emerson; Jackson Systems; NATE; Nexstar; Precision Recruiter; Service Automation; Service Trade; Survey Square; and Trane.
