ACCA created ComfortU because our members told us they want access to leading-edge training, but don't always have time to travel. They also don't want to pay high prices for each training session, or get locked into long-term contracts. So we took our popular webinar series, gave it a good shake, and created a new platform that combines the best of "live interactive training" with "recorded archives available 24/7." Subscribers to ComfortU get the following: Live, interactive online training. 4-6 times a month, leading contractors and experts will present 60-90 minute training sessions in "real time." Subscribers can "sign up" for the online training sessions they want to "attend." Then, at the scheduled time, you login to the session link online (to watch, participate, and ask questions), and call the designated phone line (to hear the presenter). Frequently Asked Questions What if I can't take advantage of all the training in a given month, or am not interested in all of the training programs? The beauty of ComfortU is that you couldn't possibly take advantage of ALL the training programs we offer. And not all of the training programs will be applicable to everyone. But we are covering such a wide variety of HVACR management and technical topics that there will be many training programs you find useful. And if you find that none of them are, remember, you can cancel any time. What sort of training does ComfortU offer? A wide variety of management and technical topics developed exclusively for ACCA. For examples, check out the archives or our upcoming schedule of live classes. If I subscribe to ComfortU, do I still need to sign up for live training? Yes, you will still need to sign up for live training sessions in order to get the unique email link and phone number for that session. It's easy to do, though, just sign up here (and remember that we are adding training sessions all the time). What are the technical requirements? To view archives, you need a web browser that has Flash installed (99% of you will already have this, otherwise download the Flash Player here). The archives will work with dialup, but broadband will provide a better experience. To participate in the live training, you simply need a web browser (to watch and participate) and a phone line (to listen). Which company employees can access ComfortU training? Like ACCA membership, ComfortU is a company subscription, and once you subscribe, all the employees for whom you have created ACCA accounts will have access (primary membership contacts can create accounts at MyACCA). However, only full-time employees of your company can be given accounts. If you add accounts for people who are not full-time employees, your entire company will lose access to online ACCA content. Explain to me how this process works. After you subscribe to ComfortU, your ACCA account (plus the accounts you have created for other full-time employees) will now have access to all the links here in ComfortU. To participate in a live training session, you must signup for it by clicking the appropriate link for each session. Prior to the live training session, you will receive an email that contains a unique link that you will need to click on at the scheduled time, and a phone number and access code to call. A few minutes before the scheduled start time, you click the email link AND call the phone number. Then simply follow the instructions on-screen and, once the session begins, from the moderator on the phone.
